Edgewood Community Academy is a FREE 8-week course we hold each spring to give our Edgewood citizens the opportunity to learn about law enforcement’s role within our community and the public safety issues facing Edgewood. We cover topics such as Use of Force, Defensive Tactics, Forensics, Criminal Investigations, Patrol Procedures, DUI’s, SWAT and special teams, and Virtual Reality training. Our course includes tours, hands-on activities, a chance to try the VR training system, and even the opportunity to take a spin around our Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC).
We are now accepting applications for our 2026 Community Academy. The application deadline is April 10th. Spaces are limited sign up today!
