Community and Economic Development

The Community & Economic Development (CED) Department provides growth management and development review, neighborhood preservation and revitalization, property inspections, and other programs and business development services necessary to ensure the healthy, safety, and quality of life of Edgewood residents. CED performs numerous customer interactions, code interpretations, permitting functions, project permit reviews, on-site inspections, code enforcement, and multiple other functions.

The Department consists of three Divisions (Building, Code, and Planning) responsible for the following disciplines:

1.    Building and Fire Prevention     
2.    Code Compliance and Enforcement 
3.    Development Review 
4.    Economic Development
5.    Planning and Land Use
