If you visit the Nelson Nature Park you will probably notice that bird nesting boxes have been placed on various trees throughout the park. These boxes will serve as the future homes for expecting, Bewicks Wrens, House Finches, American Kestrels, and Ash - Throated Flycatchers (pictured), in an effort to boost bird population of all species, and therefore the prosperity of the ecosystem in the area. They were built by local Eagle Scout Eric Pearsall as part of his Eagle Scout Project!
