Last month your Edgewood City Council authorized the city’s inclusion into the Pierce Conservation District. If you aren’t familiar with the Pierce Conservation District, it is a special purpose district that serves Pierce County communities with the following programs water quality improvement, stream/creek bank clean ups and natural habitat restoration, urban flooding reduction, stream/creek bank stabilization, water quality monitoring, rain garden and rain barrel program development, community gardens and local food access project development. (just to name a few).
Saturday September 24th from 9:30am-11am they’ll be holding a FREE virtual Seed Saving class through their Edible Garden Class Series, taught by a local farmer from Colibri Farm.
