Following the City’s annual Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP), here is a summary of priority locations on the horizon:
The City did amend the Comprehensive Plan in 2020 (see https://arcg.is/0Dn05S0 for a map) that identified three new potential routes (2 to the south, 1 to the east). Staff is working with developers on the south side to ensure the right-of-way for those routes is set aside, and no work has occurred on the east side to date.
It is up to the State Legislature to set the biennial budget for WSDOT. At this time, there are no WSDOT funds identified toward any sites in Edgewood for the City’s six-year planning horizon.
Edgewood Municipal Code (EMC) Chapter 10.12 regulates parking in public right-of-way. EMC 10.12.020(D) requires the paved roadway surface to remain clear (minimum 20-foot width), 10.12.020(G) prohibits RV’s, 10.12.020(J) limits parking to 48 consecutive hours, and 10.12.020(L) requires mailboxes to be accessible from 8am to 6pm.
